Animate smoke in After Effects

Animating smoke can be hard. But there are a few tricks to make it more easy. In this tutorial I show you how you can make awesome smoke for your own animated video's in no time.

How to:

1. Make a new composition

2. Create a solid and rename it to "smoke"

3. Add the CC Particle system II to the smoke layer.

4. Change the settings to the settings below

5. Rotate the smoke layer -90°

6. Mask half of the layer.
